Tasting note

The 2014 Chinon Pierre de Tuf has a dark and deep ruby color and opens with a spicy bouquet of perfectly ripe and elegant fruit with cedar wood and flinty aromas. Full-bodied, very long and juicy, this silky-textured wine reveals great finesse and vitality as well as a long and spicy, well-structured and tight finish. This is a great Chinon that already drinks well but will still to do so in 20 years. It's powerful, intense and juicy but also fresh, fine and elegant, with stimulating tension and finesse.
