Tasting note

From three different pickings (over 15 days) of perfectly ripe grapes whose juices were fermented separately and blended only after the fermentation and then aged on the lees for six months, the 2016 Chinon Chante le Vent is clear, fresh and nutty on the nose, where ripe pear and acacia aromas are displayed. Full-bodied, dense and quite rich with remarkable freshness and a firm tannin structure, this is a tightly woven and very persistent Chenin Blanc with a long, dry and salty finish. Great tension and aging potential here.
