Tasting note

The 2013 Extra Brut Blanc de Noirs Verzenay Les Crayeres Fins Lieux #2 is one of the best wines I have tasted from David Pehu. The combination of a cold, late-ripening harvest and Pinot Noir from one of the top sites in Verzenay results in a brisk, finely cut Champagne that delivers the goods. Minerally drenched savory notes cut through a core of Pinot fruit. The 2013 simply dazzles from start to finish. Dosage is 1.5 grams per liter. Disgorged: January, 2021.
