Exclusive Offer: 20% Off on Hofgut Falkenstein's 2022 Vintage
Introducing the highly anticipated 2022 vintage from Hofgut Falkenstein! It marks one of the winery's most outstanding years to date. To celebrate, we're offering a special 20% off discount on all Hofgut Falkenstein wines from the 2022 vintage.
Hofgut Falkenstein, owned by the Weber family, is located in an ancient Moselle valley and possesses exceptional plots in Euchariusberg, also known as Großschock. These parcels situated on the south-facing slope are regarded as some of the finest sites in Saar. They yield powerful, rich wines with a pronounced mineral character.
Since 1980s, Hofgut Falkenstein remains committed to traditional winemaking. They eschew chemicals, reduce yields, and work on steep slopes without machine’s help. All grapes are hand-harvested. No steel tanks are used, and the wines undergo spontaneous fermentation and gentle maturation in old German oak barrels. Known for their razor-sharp acidity, Hofgut Falkenstein's Rieslings offer a lively freshness and lightness. Leading the winery into the future is Johannes, Erich Weber's second son, who carries on the family legacy.
In the exceptional vintage of 2022, Hofgut Falkenstein stood out among German producers. According to Mosel Fine Wines, their off-dry Riesling achieved the highest score compared to other German producers. Despite the heat of summer, Hofgut Falkenstein also managed to produce fine Kabinet wines that exhibit precision, balance, and subtle zest typically found in cooler vintages.

Critical Praise
“Of course, for a combination of complexity, finesse and low alcohol in dry Riesling, you need look no further – especially this year – than Hofgut Falkenstein.”
David Schildknecht, Vinous.com
“If you are interested in superb, classic, highly individual Saar Rieslings, Hofgut Falkenstein is one of the very best addresses... Unfortunately, the Falkensteiner Rieslings are fast-selling wines. You need to have a great relationship with your supplier, because even at the domaine you won't get a bottle to buy, only to drink. Erich and Johannes Weber could sell each bottle at least two times. There is no other domain that is as "hot" as the Falkensteiner Hof right now.”
Stephan Reinhardt, Robertparker.com
“The Estate has been a fine source for steely expressions of Saar Riesling since the start. However, the level of finesse has soared over the last few years while the ethos of the Webers remained unchanged: “We want to produce light-weighted, playful, and complex wines. This expresses the beauty of our Saar vineyards so well.”… The resulting wines show stunning brightness and delicacy. They are intense yet gorgeously light-footed … and they embrace acidity. The wines need time ... as did most of the great Mosel wines from the 1980s and the 1990s. The Estate has been on fire since 2014 (we amply reported on it), and its wines have been fixed features in our list of yearly highlights for years now, and this in all stylistic directions.”
